Return Procedure. Pack item(s) well and include your name, the name
of your organization (if applicable), and a copy of the original packing
slip or invoice. Return shipping expenses are to be paid by the
customer, and items being returned must arrive in good and saleable
condition within 30 days of return authorization. If you receive
defective or wrong merchandise as a result of a Autism Index error, we
will pay for the return shipping expense.
What is delivery time?
Orders are generally shipped within
two to three weeks.
How about cleaning the sets?
The Hanging Canvas Seat is made
from durable canvas and the Taco is made from extra durable rip-stop
material and the carpet of the Plywood is also durable. Clean with
soapy sponge and then sponge rinse.
How outdoors are the swing frames?
Both the Homestand II and HPSI have
a weather resistant baked on powder coat (plastic) finish.
However, being portable means there are more joints and connections to
wear. The frames are not meant to stay outdoors in the elements,
although many parents will keep their frame outside under a covered
patio, for instance. If you just need a stationary outdoor frame,
we advice you to get an inexpensive swing frame from a department store
and order the 3 Swings and a Swivel
Package at the Autism Index Store.
How outdoors are the seats?
The swings should be used in dry
swinging weather. Leaving them out in the rain or other weather will
adversely affect stability of your seats and void your warranty for
them.
In what colors are the swing
frames available?
The swing frames are standard
colored in textured metallic light and dark greys. Custom colors
will raise the price and possibly will take a longer delivery time. When

What colors are available for the
therapy swings?
The Soft Taco is dark blue while
the Hanging Canvas Seat comes in only Blue and Green both dark. The Plywood Platform is carpeted in soft tone colors. The Glider comes in unfinished plywood. The Glider with indoor/outdoor
durable coating is black.
How hard is it to put together and
move around?
First time out of the box will take
about 30 minutes to put together, after that about 5 minutes. Once
the 4 legs are secured to the top piece HS and HPSI can easily move
around the room.
Will I need anything else to start
swinging?
Sets and frames are "Ready to
go" complete with attaching clips and swivel.
Will non Autism Index swings work
with the frames?
Most, they need to be swings that
have rope or chain attached. See pictures below:
Once the frame is set up will the
legs get in the way?
Only for vigorous swinging, if you
like to really push the swings, you may need a ceiling mount for no
obstructions.
How much space do I need?
12 feet x 16 feet, 16 feet front to
back and 12 sideways. The frames have a foot print of 8 1/2 x 8
1/2 feet.

available. These rope hangers will last for years.
How much weight can the swing
frames hold?
The Homestand II will hold 325 Lbs
and the HPSI will hold 400 Lbs.
How much weight can each swing
hold?
The Soft Taco is a really a one
person seat. The Medium Size holds up to 250 Lbs., the Adult Size holds
up to 350 Lbs.
The Hanging Canvas Seat can hold an
adult and child together up to 350 Lbs.
Both the Plywood Platform and the
Glider will easily hold 400 Lbs.
How much do the swing frames
weigh?
Both the Homestand II and the HPSI
weigh about 60 Lbs.
What is the height?
Both the HP and HS (at the tall
height) are designed to fit in a standard 8 foot ceiling (about 7 1/2
feet). The HS has a short ceiling setting at about 6 1/2 feet.
Can the Homestand II really fit in
a car trunk?
You will have to measure your
trunk. It fits into the trunk of many smaller cars.
There are 4 two-piece telescoping
legs that separate. The 4 leg tops are 1½-inch tube × 51 inches long;
the leg bottoms are 1¼-inch tube × 56 inches long.
The top piece, which is the same
for both the Homestand II and the HPSI, is like a big C that is approx.
12 inches wide by 44 inches long.
The HPSI legs are 101 inches long and are not made to fit into a car
trunk.
What is the difference between the
HPSI and the Homestand II?
The Homestand II has 2 piece legs
that are just over 4 feet making the set very portable and able to fit
in most car trunks. The HPSI are 1 piece legs 8 1/2 feet long.
