aspergers syndrome, immunizations. Asperger Syndrome is
a subtype of Autism. Many parents believe that their
child's autistic behaviors began after having
received a vaccination. At this time, there is no
"proven" evidence of this. The government
continuously quotes one study that vaccinations are safe and
that they could not be the cause of Autism. If you read
the full report, not the one they sent to doctors and
nurses around the country, it states that the connection between
vaccinations and Autism needs to be further reviewed, but we
should continue to vaccinate our children. I personally
would not tell someone not the vaccinate their child, but they
should do their homework and do not get several shots at one
visit to the doctor. An extra trip to the doctor is worth
your child's health. The MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
is in one shot. That is plenty for one visit! We all
feel (or felt!) like we are doing the right thing vaccinating
our children, but the truth is our government looks at averages,
not individuals that may be harmed. Unfortunately, some of
our children may fall outside of their averages!
There is lots more information and links on my vaccines
page. Also see possible causes of autism.
