aba types autism

aba types autism defines the therapy and the disorder.  ABA has proven to help autistic individuals, thanks to many parents who have researched ABA therapy, used the methods, and are helping to spread the word out to other parents who are seeking more help on how to help their autistic children.  Now the media, educational institutions, and the general public will become more knowledgeable of this disorder that seems to continue to affect many children today.  With more attention to this disorder, hopefully there will be more research to find out what causes autism, and with this knowledge, it will be clearer on how to proceed forward toward pinpointing a cure.

Very helpful site for parents with autistic children:  "I am the father of a school-age child who has autism. This is a collection of Internet and other resources which parents of children with PDD, PDD-NOS, autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or hyperlexia may find useful. All the information concerns teaching methods that are a branch of  applied behavior analysis (ABA) called behavioral intervention. One of the methods is discrete trial training. Some (inaccurately) use the term "Lovaas method...Please also see the frequently asked questions about ABA and autism." - http://rsaffran.tripod.com/aba.html
