In any kind
of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy ethics, there
has to be a verbal as well as written understanding between
patient and therapist regarding privacy. If a patient
wants to keep his or her therapy private, then the ethical
choice for a therapist is to honor that request.
Through the
certification process, a therapist must meet the requirements to
practice cognitive behavioral therapy. So when choosing a
therapist, consider their ethics regarding privacy and
qualifications.
